How to Bill Faster at a Fast Food Counter During Rush Hours

1. Put your best sellers first

Your counter screen should show the items you sell most on the first screen, with big buttons. Group the rest into a few clear categories, such as burgers, pizzas, drinks and add-ons, so the cashier never scrolls through the whole menu.

2. Use quick search for everything else

For items not on the first screen, typing two or three letters should find them. This is much faster than scrolling, especially on a large menu.

3. Create combos

A “burger + fries + drink” combo is one tap instead of three. Combos also increase the average bill, so they help sales as well as speed.
